• If you are a fan of classic JDM motorsport history, there is one car in Forza Horizon 6 that you absolutely need in your garage: the legendary 1983 Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette. With its outrageous Group 5 widebody kit, massive rear wing, and iconic red-and-black livery, it is an absolute showstopper.

However, you can't just stroll into the Autoshow and buy it with credits. This car is locked behind Barn Find #15 on the Japan map. If you are looking to add this rare piece of racing history to your collection, here is a practical guide on how to trigger the rumor, find the barn, and get it track-ready.

    1. How to Trigger the Barn Find Rumor

In previous Forza Horizon games, barn find rumors would pop up simply based on how many hours you put into the game. Forza Horizon 6 changes things up by tying these discoveries directly to your campaign progression.

To get the rumor for the Tomica Skyline to trigger, you need to work through your "Discover Japan" Collector's Journal. You will need to complete various open-world activities, street races, touge runs, and hunt down regional collectibles. The goal here is to collect enough stamps to reach the final tier of the stamp collection, which unlocks Master Explorer Status. Once you hit that milestone, the rumor will trigger, and the purple search zone will appear on your map.

    2. Hunting Down the Exact Map Location

Once the search zone is active, you will want to head over to the Ito region.

To pinpoint the barn, look northeast of the Ito Airfield, or check the area just above the Yahikoyama Curve Speed Trap. Keep an eye out for the main paved road—you are looking for a narrow, loop-shaped dirt trail that branches off into the woods. Follow this gravel track downhill into the trees, and it will lead you straight to the secluded barn.

Pro-Tip: The tree line here can get pretty dense, making it easy to get turned around or stuck. Instead of driving blind, open your pause menu, go to the "My Horizon" tab, and activate Drone Mode. It lets you fly over the canopy and spot the barn structure in a matter of seconds.

    3. The Restoration Process

After the cutscene plays and you claim the car, it gets sent to your garage for repairs. Because this is a highly specialized, vintage race car rather than a standard production vehicle, the restoration process takes a significant amount of real-world gameplay time.

It can be tempting to pay the credit fee to fast-track the build, but unless you are swimming in cash, it isn't worth it. Just go back to enjoying the festival, run some races, and before you know it, the garage will notify you that the car has been restored completely for free.

    4. Collector's Tune & Build Tips

When you finally get the keys, you are dealing with a car that pushes over 560 horsepower from a 2.1L turbocharged inline-four engine, packed into an incredibly lightweight, rear-wheel-drive chassis.

Keep it Authentic: For a lot of collectors, the factory red-and-black Tomica sponsor livery is sacred. If you accidentally paint over it while messing around in the menus, don't worry. You can easily re-apply the factory design or find community-made replicas under the Designs & Liveries tab.

Track vs. Drift: Thanks to that massive aerodynamic package and wide footprint, this car is an absolute monster for high-downforce Grip and Track builds. It glues itself to corners. That said, because it's so light and RWD, a few adjustments to the differential and tire compounds can instantly turn it into a highly competitive, incredibly stylish Touge Drift build.
